Our research on third generation solar cells, or DSSC, has been concentrated on technologies to enhance their light harvesting capacity. Nanologica has developed porous materials and patented a fabrication method that doubles the efficiency of DSSCs without loss of transparency.

With escalating demand for reliable and renewable energy sources such as solar power, our progress in bringing versatility in transparency and color as well as improved efficiency to solar cells opens a world of opportunities.

Recognising this vast potential in the field of solar cell energy, we have recently spun out a company, NLAB SOLAR, singularly focused on the development and commercialization of new materials enhancing efficiency in solar cells.
