Our scope
Composition
Our technology allows us to fabricate nanoporous structures with mixed compositions, for example silica, titania and alumina. Many material properties, for instance color or conductivity, can be tuned by mixing (doping) different metal oxides into one component. In the nanoporous world, high surface areas make it possible for materials to manifest different properties or perform different functions when combined together.
Structure
Our patented techniques allow us to control the size and structure of our nanoporous materials. While the composition of a nanostructure largely defines its overall function, we can adjust and enhance the desired functional properties by controlling the type of nanopore. This feature allows us to change the performance characteristics of our products in a way that is not possible using traditional “bulk” technologies.
Function
We can form nanoparticles in a variety of shapes, including spheres, rods, membranes and wires, as well as more complex monolithic shapes. By controlling the shape, we can create additional functionality in our individual nanostructures and increase their performance, as well as reduce their manufacturing complexity and cost.
